DeepKutz Records is an upcoming music licensing agency dedicated to placing high-quality tracks in film, TV, and advertising.

Role Description

This is a remote internship role for a Production Intern who lives and breathes Ableton. Your primary goal will be ensuring our catalog is "Sync Ready"—meeting the high technical standards required by music supervisors and editors.

Key Responsibilities

• Mixing & Mastering: Take raw or unpolished tracks from the DeepKutz catalog and bring them to commercial streaming and broadcast standards.
• Version Creation: Generate "alt-mixes" essential for licensing, including:
• Instrumentals and A cappella versions.
• "Clean" edits (radio-safe).
• Stings, 30-second cuts, and 60-second cuts.
• Quality Control: Ensure all files are correctly tagged, leveled, and delivered in the proper sample rates/bit depths for sync.
• Workflow Optimization: Utilize Ableton 12 to maintain a fast turnaround for agency requests.

Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of Ableton Live (knowledge of version 12 is a plus, but we will provide the software).
• The "Sync Ear": An understanding of what makes a song "licenseable" (clear transitions, balanced low-end, and dynamic range).
• Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple tracks and deliver polished versions on a deadline.
• Equipment: Must have your own computer capable of running Ableton 12 and a reliable pair of studio monitors or headphones.
